If you're planning your Asian Wedding, you may have come across the term 'public liability insurance' when researching insurance options, venues and more. But perhaps what you don't know is what this actually is and why it's so important to have for your Asian Wedding.
Public Liability Insurance is a section of cover that protects you if you're found legally liable for accidental injuries to a third party or for damages to the third-party property.
Different levels of cover mean that public liability insurance sometimes covers just the couple getting married, and sometimes can be extended to cover guests.
Public liability cover is a very important section of cover for largescale events such as big Asian Weddings, which often require large third-party venues and accommodate hundreds of people.
The scale of these events mean it's very possible that damage could occur to the venue or to third party individuals that you could be held personally liable for.
Without public liability cover, these legal expenses will fall to you to pay for personally. Thus, having Asian Wedding Insurance could save you thousands of pounds in the event of you being held liable for damages.
Many venues will ask you to have this liability cover in order to hold your wedding.
All levels of cover with Asian Wedding Insurance (pearl, ruby, and sapphire) offer up to £2,000,000 public liability insurance for the Marrying Couple. This means that regardless of what level of cover you choose that suits your requirements, you will be able to claim up to £2,000,000 for public liability.
We also offer various extensions for your public liability cover.
For example, for all levels of cover, we also offer an extension of this cover from £2,000,000 to £5,000,000, should you require a larger sum. Usually the venue will inform you that you need this level of cover.
Furthermore, we offer an extension of your public liability insurance to cover your guests, to a total of £2,000,000. This means that you can also claim for legal expenses that have arisen due to the actions of your guests, or for free of charge services you have enlisted such as amateur live music or DJs.
We also offer a public liability only option. As this suggests, this cover does not have any of the other sections of cover that our standard policies include, such as cancellation cover, cover for ceremonial attire, financial failure of wedding service suppliers and more. It does cover up to £5,000,000 public liability for the marrying couple and £5,000,000 public liability cover for the guests.
Our Asian Wedding Insurance policies can also cover up to 6 events over a 90-day period and much, much more including:
